More than a century of history: attention to health is in the Dalla Zorza’s Family DNA.

At the end of the 19th century, in the heart of Treviso, Taddeo Dalla Zorza founded the Dalla Zorza Pharmacy. A place where science merged with a passion for people’s health and well-being.

In those days, pharmacies were not just outlets for medicines, but real artisan workshops where expert pharmacists formulated customised remedies for their customers. It was in this context that, in 1929, Antonio Dalla Zorza, Taddeo’s son, developed AT Ointment, a revolutionary ointment against coughs and pains.

Decades elapsed and, thanks to Giovanni Dalla Zorza, in 1970 Depofarma was officially founded; initially as a simple pharmaceutical warehouse. The idea was clear: to carry on the tradition of the Dalla Zorza pharmacy, but on a larger scale.

The transition was not easy, but the passion and experience accumulated over the years made Depofarma a success in the industry.

2005 marked a crucial turning point: Depofarma becomes a joint-stock company, with the Dalla Zorza family still at the helm and Giovanni’s daughters, Paola and Alessandra, joining the company. The following year, in 2006, hard work and constant research led to the first major patent successes: the company obtained two patents, the result of years of study and innovation.

With the aim of always remaining at the cutting edge, Depofarma opened its own research laboratory in 2011.

This investment quickly brings concrete results: in 2012, ISO 9001 certification was obtained, demonstrating the very high quality and reliability of Depofarma’s products.

In 2016, a third patent was obtained, further confirmation of the company’s innovative vocation.

Meanwhile, the corporate identity continues to evolve, so much so that 2018 saw the birth of “Depofarma 2.0,” a concept that marks the adoption of new technologies and market strategies.

2021 is a milestone year: in addition to its fourth patent, Depofarma also obtains ISO 13485 certification for medical devices, thus strengthening its position in the healthcare sector.

And now, in 2025, Depofarma is looking even further ahead. With the aim of internationalisation, the company is preparing to take its experience and innovation beyond national borders, ready to conquer new markets with the same pioneering spirit that has accompanied it since its beginnings.

From a small pharmacy in Treviso to an international reality: this is the story of Depofarma, a family business that has managed to combine tradition and innovation to write its future.
